Pakistan to India: No lectures or cosmetic engagements

March 3, 2010

by Moin Ansari | Rupee News

The failure of the Bharati administration to hold Pakistan hostage to Mumbai has failed miserably. The Bharati (aka Indian) administration has been taken to task in parliament and in the media.

  • Pakistan did not want India to “lecture” it to “do this or that” and rejected further “cosmetic engagements”
  • Advani said the only concrete outcome of the 500-word statement was the foreign secretaries’ agreement “to stay in touch”.
  • “Is dialogue linked with Pakistan’s abandoning terrorism, or have the two been de-linked as clearly said by our PM at Sharm el-Sheikh?
  • The BJP veteran goes on to re-assert his earlier remark that the Indian government’s U-turn on dialogue with Pakistan seems to be the upshot of “Washington’s nudge”
  • In this latest one, there is nothing but contradictions and obfuscation.”

There is a dearth of vision in Delhi–where dialogue with Pakistan or China is seen as a reward for good behavior, as if relations with Delhi are part of some “Most Favored Nation” status by economic giants like the USA. Bharat as a large country has border disputes with all her neighbors and does not have the ability or the will to resolve issues with any of her neighbors.

Why can’t Bharat break of the siege mentality and think big beyond its nose. Three are multiple reasons for the self incarceration. A vibrant but xenophobic media still keeps the habits of a totalitarian Nehurite era. The government is still stuck in the bureaucratic Cold War mentality which thinks of all relations are zero sum. The public brian washed by the temples into thinking that the boundaries of Bharat extend from Kabul to Raj Kalhani (a mythical land East of Bali). Bigots today run Gujarat and Maharashtra, important and affluent states. These states are pushing Bhrat towards a more Hindu only paradigm where all other religions are considered alien. Last week, one of Bharat’s icons F.M. Husain announced that he had renounced his citizenship and escaped to live in Qatar. Mr. Shahrukh Khan, the most popular Bharati actor worth million s was threatened by the Shiv Sena and asked to leave Bharat. These types of incidents keep the Bharati state department on their toes.

The blowing up the Samjhota Express by the Saffron brigade with links or tentacles into the Indian Army cast doubt on the assertions made by the government about Mumbai. Bharat loses its moral authority when 3000 Muslims are killed and burned in Gujarat and when 800,000 Indian soldiers occupy Kashmir. Most regions now want 50 states in Bharat asking for varying degrees of distance from Delhi–Kashmir and Assam totally rejecting any participation in the Indian Union–the Maoists who control 40% of the landmass of India want to overthrow the government.

All these factors create huge issues for Bharat when it tries to negotiate with Pakistan. Delhi has been using talks to delay implementing UN resolutions on Kashmir which essentially uphold democratic principles of plebiscite and referendums. Nehruite India used talks to postpone the referendum using excuses like rigged elections to obfuscate the issue. Kashmir has not died down–in fact it keeps half the Indian army busy in the valley that it occupies. Eery few weeks Kashmir boils, and Bharat blames outsiders.

Pakistan’s new found assertive stance with Bhrat stems from its successes in Swat and FATA where is has wiped out the Indian sponsored agents. Just this week the Pakistani Crescent and Star flew in Damadola where Indian arms and explosives were found–obviously handed over to anti-Pakistani TTP elements that the Indian agency called RAW sponsors.

The solutions to Kashmir are many and very simple. The state should be divided into Pakistan and Indian parts based on language. Most of the Muslims speak Urdu which is also the state language of Kashmir. The Hindus speak Hindi–therefore the Chena river should be the new international boundary between the two countries with the Hindi speaking districts of Jammu going to India and the Urdu speaking districts going to Pakistan. This would end the strife and free 800,000 of the Indian Army. Sir Creek and Siachin can be solved in a day with compromises found on the  banks of the creeks without jeopardizing the continental shelf, and withdrawal of forces and declaration of Siachin as a neuetral territory.

But all this requires courage, determination and keeping the extremists at bay on both sides. That courage is absent in a proxy Prime Minister in India who works on scripts from the Nehru dynasty’s mother hen Ms. Sonia Gandhi. With a crown prince in apprenticeship, the latest Gandhi wants to take over Delhi in the next elections and send Mr. Manmohan SIngh into retirement. The current seat warmer Prime Minister cannot take any bold steps. His previous meetings with the Pakistani leadership were total fiascos–where he was taken to task by the Pakistanis, the world and his own opposition in Bharat.

Peace is not in sight in South Asia–and Bharat is the reason why South Asia is the only island of poverty in Asia.

  1. tch tch tch…. Rupee News at it’s best. We know you like to use Bharat… but use it properly yaar. It is NOT Bharati administration… but BHARATIYA administration. Your news is mainly useless junk, atleast keep it gramatically correct

  2. we know it…………
we dont need a “bharti” to tell us….
keep your dirty @ss out of this form…..

    • What you guys “know” would barely fit in a matchbox paki-boy. Now go back to doing what you lot are best at. Go blow someone up

      • Do not worry. We have developed and deployed nuclear weapons and MIRV’ed our missiles to take your Hindu ass out. After we are finished there wont be a low cast Baniya Brahmin left in SA.

      • Haha dirty slumdog keeps returning here for more bashing!.This is a Pakistani site wehere we’ll say whatever we want so if you hate it then return to your AIDS home in Mumbai!

        Dirty smelly Bhindian!!

  3. Why does the greatly knowledgeable Mr Moin Ansari not advise paki diplomats instead of running this cheap rupee news. India precisely ran down the meeting with pakis. Coz thats wat we wanted. No outcome is better than something undesirable.

Besides, its nice to see that Moin Ansri’s anti-India obsession is able to put some food the plate for his family.

  4. The biggest problem in our Pakistan is the people who should be running the country like our Gen Hamid Gul, people who really understand the situation , like gen aslam baig , and many more like them , are not in the goverment , for one reason or another , Pakistanis have to learn to elect the proper people if they are just going to vote a Bhutto or a sharif just out of revrence to this familys and feudal loards then we will have to suffer the concequnceses.

  5. My dear Pakistani/Indian brothers and sisters,

Before you hurl another abuse or insult at each other, please imagine if there was no partition in 1947 or creation of Bangladesh in 1971, today a united India would have had roughly equal proportion of Hindus and Muslims, creating an equilibrium of power and stability… What’s more important that we could have been invested in improving our economy and social welfare creating a strong powerful nation at par with the likes of USA and China… Just think…

To me it seems that every time we fight with each other, throw abuses and bombs at each other, the Western powers must be so happy to see their evil plan continue to succeed for over 60 years now… I wonder why most of us fail to see this simple reality, instead we keep listening to people who continue to spread racial and religious hatred, diverting our attention from the real issues facing both the countries, and whole of South Asia actually…

    • Partition was a great thing though understandbly you as an Indian consider it to be a tragedy!.It’s better to live in your own broken home then as a slave in someone elses castle!

You just don’t freakin get it do you??….our ancestors refused to settle for second best and compromise their religious belief to satisfy the Hindu majority which is exactly what Indian Muslim’s do today!.Now you’ll try to stump me by reminding me of the terrible condition Pak is in still no matter what it’s our’s to mend!

Bhindians need not worry about Pak instead sort your own poverty stricken nation out!.Hardly any Pakistani today regrets the creation of our country that should tell you everything,we continue to believe.

India is responsible for 99% of trouble in South Asia,it’s always meddled in the affairs of other nations!.War’s and continued tension with both Pak and China whilst trying to bully Bangladesh and Srilanka means that it must be dismantled at any cost!.Another form of reconciliation is the Zaid Hamid suggestion that it be renamed as Pakistan and true Islam be it’s guideline.

India must also liberate Kashmir as originally agreed and both must sort out differences with rebel groups. There can be coexistence but understand that Pak will never be bullied into accepting the Indian idea of peace for good behaviour!!.Furthermore i’ve always regarded Pakistanis as historically and racially being a seperate people that were forced to be “Indian’s” during the British period.

      • Partition was a great thing though understandably you as an Indian consider it to be a tragedy! It’s better to live in your own broken home then as a slave in someone else’s castle!

        >> I admire your patriotism but there’s a thin line between being patriotic and jingoistic… Please remember the Nazis were also being patriotic but look at what they ended up doing…

        >> I am so sorry, I didn’t realize that you have the authority to speak on behalf of the 166 million Pakistanis…

India is responsible for 99% of trouble in South Asia,it’s always meddled in the affairs of other nations!

        >> Assuming this is true, what has stopped all these aggrieved nations from getting together and taking India to task in International forums and by building public opinion against it? Sending terrorists to attack Indian civilians seems hardly a reasonable solution…

India must also liberate Kashmir as originally agreed and both must sort out differences with rebel groups. There can be coexistence but understand that Pak will never be bullied into accepting the Indian idea of peace for good behavior.

        >> Absolutely agree with you on this!!!

Furthermore i’ve always regarded Pakistanis as historically and racially being a seperate people that were forced to be “Indian’s” during the British period.

        >> Well, this is your personal point of view but in my humble opinion Pakistan was created only on 14 Aug 1947. Moreover, today’s Pakistan consists of many different racial and ethnic groups including the Punjabis, Pakhtoons, Baloches and the so-called Mohajirs, so any suggestion that Pakistanis are historically and racially a seperate people, seems rather facile and useless…

  6. 1)Understand that Pakistan was established in the name of Islam not Nazism so your point is plain stupid!

2)You see i’ve seen many debates on the creation of Pakistan on TV and read articles thus can tell you that most support seperation, not partition!.Secondly Aug 14 is greatly celebrated in Pak whilst the Indian’s cry over it!.India was never one nation to begin with!

3)Well look at the Europeans and Americans, they all look identical yet have fundamental differences. The same can be said about the African race so similarity doesn’t mean identical race. You said it that there are not many Punjabis,Pakhtoons,,Balochis and Sindhis in India considering the overall population!

4)In Pak case it’s the sell out government that doesn’t have the heart to do right by taking action against India!.International forums????…you’re kiddin’ right!!….i mean everyone knows that the pro-Zionist American’s currently control everything!!.Next you’ll be asking whay there are no forums on Afghanistan,Iraq,Kashmir and Palestine!!!
It’s unity that’s stopping nation’s like Pak from dealing properly with India,i don’t blame you but ourselves for being weak!!

    • @Imran

Thanks again for your replies. However, I think you may not have fully understood my points, so let me try again:

Understand that Pakistan was established in the name of Islam not Nazism so your point is plain stupid!

      >> Of course, everyone knows Pakistan was created in the name of Islam. However, Zaid Hamid and his rabid fans seem to be pushing it to a path similar to that followed by the Nazis. I only hope the fact that both Hitler and Zaid Hamid are against Jews is merely coincidental…

2)You see i’ve seen many debates on the creation of Pakistan on TV and read articles thus can tell you that most support separation, not partition!

      >> You actually support my point.

Secondly Aug 14 is greatly celebrated in Pak whilst the Indian’s cry over it! India was never one nation to begin with!

      >> Of course, most Pakistanis celebrate Aug 14 just as most Indians celebrate Aug 15 as their respective Independence days. However, it does not support the notion that people in both countries are happy with the partition.

3)Well look at the Europeans and Americans, they all look identical yet have fundamental differences. The same can be said about the African race so similarity doesn’t mean identical race. You said it that there are not many Punjabis, Pakhtoons, Balochis and Sindhis in India considering the overall population!

      >> I think you are mixing up two issues here – religion and race. On the one hand, you argue that Pakistan was established based on Islam, however on the other hand, you suggest that somehow the residents of the North-West regions of erstwhile British India have a greater right to be called Pakistanis compared to Muslims from the other regions. That sound right, does it?

4)In Pak case it’s the sell out government that doesn’t have the heart to do right by taking action against India!.International forums????…you’re kiddin’ right!!….i mean everyone knows that the pro-Zionist American’s currently control everything!!.Next you’ll be asking whay there are no forums on Afghanistan,Iraq,Kashmir and Palestine!!! It’s unity that’s stopping nation’s like Pak from dealing properly with India,i don’t blame you but ourselves for being weak!!

      >> Absolutely agree with you! If you ask me, the Kashmir issue could have been solved long back if we had strong and honest political leadership on both sides. In my humble opinion, it is due to the weak and corrupt politicians that the whole issue got hijacked by the Pakistani military and they thought that with the support of the US, they could somehow capture Kashmir by force. When that didn’t work they tried to weaken Indian by sponsoring and training jehadi groups in the Pak-controlled Kashmir.

Well, you can’t blame Pak army and ISI. They only acted in a manner and used strategies that they knew. You can’t expect an Army General to do the job of a civilian president or prime minister.

Anyhow, I don’t think there’s any point crying over the lost time. It’s never too late. We should somehow try to work with each other and solve the pending issues peacefully. To that end, I think economic cooperation and cultural ties would be the way to go rather than nuclear confrontation and continuous barrage of hatred towards each other.

wever, I also believe its not too late even now

  7. 1)Zaid Hamid is a motivational speaker and such folk often exeggarate to get people stirred up!.He is not against Jews but Zionists who are killing Palestinians.

2)Most Pakistanis today were born after 1947 thus don’t suffer from partition complex!.Identity Pakistan is all that they know so why would they possibly be unhappy!?.It’s impossible to go around asking everyone if or not your happy but reactions show that Pakistanis love Pakistan!.We want peace not reunification with you especially seeing the sacrafices of so many of our ancestrors in establishing Pakistan!

3).I’m not suggesting anything other then percentage wise there ar not too many Pathans,Punjabis,Balochis and Sindhis in India thus we are a different people!!

4)Resistence to Indian opression is not terrorism rather freedom is man’s birthright!.Your 800,000 troops in Kashmir proves that India indeed is terrorising innocents who want liberation!.The promises made by Nehru and co of self-determination for the Kashmiris must be delivered to stop the bloodshed.Normaility can only resume after the UN resolution has been implemented as nothing less will satisfy Pakistan/is!
