Interview with Sirajuddin Haqqani

January 20, 2010

Al Jazeera has obtained an exclusive interview with Sirajuddin Haqqani, a Taliban commander fighting US and Nato forces in Afghanistan.

US commanders have identified the Pakistan-based Haqqani network – which allegedly has ties with Pakistan’s ISI – as one of the biggest threats to US forces in Afghanistan. The network carries out attacks on foreign forces across the majority of eastern Afghanistan. The US has put a $5 million bounty on Sirajuddin Haqqani’s head. David Chater has the latest from Kabul.

Below is a more detailed interview with Sirajuddin Haqqani – from 2008:

  1. may allah help them against the biggest satan on earth

    • Ameen

  2. Super powers do what they do best: impose their will in others. It is the job of the respective countries to fight for their own interests.

The whole consept of invoking satan is a little too far fetched for my taste but if there are satans walking the coridoors of power then they can best be found in our own capital where our roulers have completely distanced them selves from the intetests of Pakistan and the well being of her citizens.

I have personally stopped blaming others after the Pakistani people elected PPP and Zardari to power.

    • Zardari is not as big a traitor as Musharraf.

If Mir Jafar, Mir Sadiq, Mujeebur Rahman and Mukti Baani were all mixed together to form one individual, it would be Parvez Musharraf.
