  2. The “Golden Age” of Islam was the golden age of intellectuals who studies and made advances in the existing sciences and philosophies developed by the Greeks, the Persians. The Indians etc.

They were not all Muslims. Some of the prominent ones were Jewish.

The only common thing about them was that they wrote in, and translated works to, Arabic.

The Muslims ones had to be, and most of them were, secular people. If they were devout Muslims, then they would not venture into scientific inquiry, as it is against the Islamic doctrine that maintains that the Quran contain all knowledge.

Secular rulers enabled the development of science and free thinking.

Once the true Islamic believers and devout clerics had the upper hand, such as it was in spain in the middle ages, the development of science was halted.

So there is nothing Islamic about the so called “Golden Age”, other than it being under Islamic rule.

    • well Musa you are trying to be more than intelligent and smar but u cant.Sir zaid hamid knows more and better thean you and dont try be a westener

    • It is fascinating to see how people try to rationalize history and religion into their own narrow world view.

Islam is the religion who teaches its believers to even travel to China for the sake of acquiring knowledge.

This stands in sharp contrast to Mussa’s false claim that “If they were devout Muslims, then they would not venture into scientific inquiry, as it is against the Islamic doctrine that maintains that the Quran contain all knowledge”.

Son, you have completely missed the off ramp and the whole message of this program.
