Opposition on Thursday strongly protested in the Upper House of the Parliament against the prorogation of the Senate session well before its schedule and accused the government of striking an “under the table” deal with France to get old submarine technology.
Tariq Azeem of Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) said the government was getting old submarine technology from France while the country had already that technology. Jamal Laghari also strongly condemned the deal of Pakistan with France to get submarine technology at high cost. This deal is being conducted secretly with France to get old technology of submarine, he accused.
He said that Germany had offered latest and modern Submarine technology at low cost. He demanded that the Navel Chief should brief the House in camera about the deal.
