$2,000 For A Dead Afghan Child, $100,000 For Any American Who Died Killing It
NEW YORK CITY—After Obama apologized for the strike which the Afghan government claimed killed well over a hundred ordinary country folk, came the report that the families of those killed, and subsequent Afghani dead falling in harm’s way of the US military, continuing as before, can apply to receive up to $2,000 compensation. This is the price the great United States of American puts on an Afghan or Pakistan human being, while awarding $100,000 to families of Americans who die while fighting and killing wherever.
Shocking? Shame provoking? Embarrassing that no Afghani or Pakistani child or parent has any human right at all, including the right not to be blown to pieces in a US drone air strike? – the final insult being the value of their lives put at a mere $2,000 by the wealthiest nation in history?
The fifth and sixth days of June which remind the tragic memory of India’s Operation Blue Star launched on the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of the Sikhs in 1984 have come at a time when Pakistan’s armed forces have been conducting Malakand operations against the Taliban. It looks interesting to compare the phenomena and other dimensions of these operations.
The main aim of the Operation Blue Star led by Indian General Kuldip Singh Brar was to arrest Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, the only spiritual leader who had been boldly fighting for the genuine rights of Sikhs. Indian government which never tried to negotiate with the Sikh leader had signed no peace agreement with him or the Sikh community, while activities of Bhindranwale were only confined to the Golden Temple. As regards Pak military operations, Swat peace accord was signed on February 15 this year between the government and the militants led by Sufi Muhammad. Meanwhile, National Assembly passed the Nizam-e-Adl Regulation which was also signed by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari. While implementing it, two Qazi courts were appointed in the Malakand Division. But, by setting aside the terms of the peace pact, the Taliban equipped with heavy weapons started making checkpoints, strengthening their position in Swat and Dir. They not only refused to renounce arms, but even entered Buner in open violations of the peace agreement.
SRINAGAR: A large number of Kashmiris took to streets at Maisuma in Srinagar against subjecting of a shopkeeper to brute force by Indian troops here on Tuesday.
Pitched battles were witnessed between the demonstrators and the troops. People took out a procession from Medical College Srinagar to Lal Chowk to protest the anti-people policies of the puppet administration.
Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one innocent Kashmiri youth during a siege and search operation at Kalihand in Doda district. [link]
Another candid video, not aired by any news or TV channel, that shows Indian soldiers assaulting kids in a play ground in occupied portion of Kashmir.
Unarmed teenagers, outnumbered by the policemen are beaten up like animals by the Brave Sons of India in a playground. When a news reporter attempts to stop soldiers, he gets a kicking too.
In the video you can clearly hear Hindi words “maro, maro salay ko, maro” – “Beat him, beat the bastard”, whereas, Professor William Baker mentions details about a 82 year old Kashmiri Muslim woman who was raped by 10 Indian soldiers.
Note: The video contain images that are extremely violent, user discretion advised.
Scenes like these are a daily occurrence in occupied Kashmir. The UN and western media has always looked the other way when it comes to Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir – the true face of the so called biggest democracy of the world.
There are many similarities in the way the Indian and Israeli brutalities are executed on innocent civilians. Innocent civilians are murdered, their homes are burnt and demolished and before every election a massacre of Muslims is carried out. A recent example being the Mumbai attacks that were staged right before state elections in India, while the Israeli attacks on Gaza just before the February 18, 2009 elections in Israel.
The biggest similarity in the two cases is the continued and shameless claim of both terrorist states of being ‘victims of terrorism’ and ‘innocent’. The unarmed children brutally assaulted and murdered in Kashmir and Gaza would beg to differ, however.
And This is What We’ll See In Pakistan If America Is Allowed To Bring Its War To Pakistan
This is why we insist on not ‘owning’ America’s war in Afghanistan, the closure of the CIA station in Islamabad, and an end to American meddling in our affairs and stopping the Indians in their plans.
