‘Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation state. Mohammad Ali Jinnah did all three.’ – Stanley Wolpert on Jinnah
“Mohammad Ali Jinnah, his Muslim Tiger wants to eat the Hindu Cow” – Time Magazine
Such was the stature of the man who created Pakistan. Jinnah was resolute, extremely focused, meticulously disciplined, and possessed Shakespearean tongue. He was a man of vision and political far-sightedness. Then something disastrous happened, after the tragic demise of our only Quaid (Jinnah) , Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated, last words from his mouth were, “May Allah protect Pakistan”. Since Liaquat Ali’s assassination this country has been run by corrupt, incompetent, and colonial slave rulers.
The War that is currently raging in the NWFP needs to be fought on ground as well as on the information front. Therefore the historical perpective on India’s involvment in creating unreset in NWFP must be looked into at this time.
One must look at certain events that shed light on the role that Hindus that lived and worked in the NWFP at the time of partition have played in starting the troubles in NWFP.
Below are copies of de-classified US State Department documents:
Kashif Abbasi, who was allowed by a ‘Dictator’ to speak his mind and criticize the then government in a media campaign which eventually saw the ‘Dictator’ resign, has been kicked off the airwaves by our ‘Democratic’ Government. Irony at its best. The free-wheeling liberal social democratic facade is starting to peel as the current government now resorts to tactics not even ‘Dictators’ indulge in.The stifling of contrary opinion is normally only done in one of two cases: a desperate measure to veil weaknesses, or to shore up strength and consensus. No prizes for guessing which applies here.
Almost coinciding with the 13th round of Sino-Indian border talks (New Delhi, August 7-8, 2009), an article (in the Chinese language) has appeared in China captioned ‘If China takes a little action, the so-called Great Indian Federation can be broken up’ (Zhong Guo Zhan Lue Gang, www.iiss.cn, Chinese, August 8, 2009).
Interestingly, it has been reproduced in several other strategic and military Web sites of the country and by all means, targets the domestic audience. The authoritative host site is located in Beijing and is the new edition of one, which so far represented the China International Institute for Strategic Studies (www.chinaiiss.org).
Claiming that Beijing’s ‘China-Centric’ Asian strategy, provides for splitting India, the writer of the article, Zhan Lue (strategy), has found that New Delhi’s corresponding ‘India-Centric’ policy in Asia, is in reality a ‘Hindustan centric’ one. Stating that on the other hand ‘local centres’ exist in several of the country’s provinces (excepting for the UP and certain northern regions), Zhan Lue has felt that in the face of such local characteristics, the ‘so-called’ Indian nation cannot be considered as one having existed in history.
The tide is turning and the morale is high. ‘Our boys from Sukkur’ create a good feeling through military ranks today.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Ambush attacks usually work in favor of the attackers because of the element surprise and the relative unpreparedness of the ambushed target. But not today. The soldiers of the 1st Sindh Regiment Battalion who were part of a convoy passing through Asad Khel, south of the town of Miranshah in North Waziristan, numbering about 80 soldiers, repelled today a huge attack by terrorists from Afghanistan and their local recruits.
KARACHI: A bloody feud that followed Baitullah Mehsud’s death involving about three-dozen best-trained Taliban fighters early on Wednesday morning was actually a battle among various Taliban warlords to control Rs 2 billion Taliban funds and ownership of arms and ammunition worth about Rs 1 billion by grabbing the ‘Emarat’ (the leadership) of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to senior security officials and knowledgeable Taliban sources.
Picture this: Pakistan, 2009. You’re a revolutionary in a hostile nation. You believe your message will have a profoundly positive impact on your fellow citizens, but it seems they are so entrenched in the status quo that it is hard to get through to them. For one thing, they are mired in a state of corruption and despondency, unable or unwilling to break-out.
To the leaders, because you insist on ‘reactionary’ ideals such as honesty, integrity, solidarity and unity, you are a serious danger – a threat to the very fabric of existing society. They conspire against you, trying to undermine you at every turn. They fear you because if even a few were converted to your cause, society would be utterly transformed, the special interests would be overturned and the evils of the leadership would be exposed for all to see.
However, listening to you, although many nod approvingly, their commitment is superficial. Actually taking your message to heart would lead to a significant impact on their wealth, status and lifestyles. The material sacrifices would be enormous. Their income comes from impure sources – they would have to forego it; They are used to trampling on others to get ahead – they would have to start giving way; They wile away their days in self-indulgent frivolity – they would have to start paying attention.
Blackwater – This is the name of one of the world’s largest privately run mercenary armies, who were proclaimed to be above US law a couple of years back. What are Blackwater’s operations? In the outset, we are told they are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan for security checks and to “control the law and order situation”, whereas in reality, this is the very group of secret Crusader forces to which former US President George W. Bush referred to when he said after 9/11 “This is not a war but a crusade…” Continue Reading
BrassTacks presents another bitter-facts series exposing threats to Pakistan and deliberate ignorance of current government. Zaid Hamid exposes the covert war which CIA is waging against Pakistan, as he explains the current domestic scenario of Pakistan and the threats to our nationals security that we face due to CIA covert ops and US policies.
In latest episode of the series, cutting edge analysis of the current scenario are presented by Zaid Hamid.
The drone strike that resulted in the death of Pakistan’s most wanted terrorist is believed to be a result of deliberately planted false intelligence, sources in South Waziristan have confirmed.
Rival militants close to Qari Zainullah Mehsud (who was killed on Baitullah Mehsud’s orders) tipped off suspected local CIA informers about the presence of a ‘high value afghan taliban target’ in a house in South Waziristan.
Qari Zainuddin, a former aide of Baitullah Mehsud, had denounced Baitullah Mehsud in June this year and had revealed Mehsud’s links with Indian and Israeli intelligence agencies. Zainuddin was gunned down in his office the next day and Baitullah Mehsud claimed responsibility for the killing.
In what appears to be an attempt to extract revenge by those loyal to Qari Zainuddin, false intelligence was deliberately fed to a number of local residents suspected of working as informers for the Americans in Afghanistan. Hours later, a CIA operated drone guided by a physically dropped electronic homing device, attacked and destroyed the house which the Americans believed was occupied by Anti-US Afghan Taliban.
The CIA has been paying tribesman in Waziristan “plant the electronic devices” near militant safehouses, reported the Guardian on June 1st this year. “Hours or days later, a drone, guided by the signal from the chip, destroys the building with a salvo of missiles.”
This isn’t the first time an electronic homing device has led the Americans to strike a wrong target. The Guardian’s report continues:
Pakistani Terrorist chief Baitullah Mehsud, who led a violent campaign of suicide attacks and assassinations against the Pakistani government, has been killed in a US missile strike, a TTP commander and aide to Mehsud said Friday.
‘I confirm that Baitullah Mehsud and his wife died in the American missile attack in South Waziristan,’ Kafayatullah told The Associated Press by telephone. He would not give any further details. [Source]
In February this year, PKKH had reported on how Baitullah Mehsud had outlived his shelf-life, and was of no further use to his American masters. With the TTP defeated in Malakand, he had been cornered in his hometown in South Waziristan and it would only have been a matter of days before he was captured.
It now increasingly looks like Baitullah Mehsud is living on borrowed time. It would be interesting to see who gets to him first, the Pakistanis or the Americans. Pakistan Army would be well advised to attempt to capture him alive, something that the Americans and Indians would try and ensure does not happen.
LAHORE: Lawyers on Thursday continued their vandalism against the media, attacking a Geo TV cameraman and other journalists again on the premises of the Lahore High Court.
A few minutes after a two-member bench adjourned the hearing of a suo moto notice on manhandling of a policeman and journalists by lawyers in the sessions court last week, lawyers thrashed the journalists who were covering the case. The lawyers, who were around 500, had gathered inside and outside the courtroom since morning, which reflected their designs. Though there was a sufficient strength of police personnel stationed there to counter any untoward incident, they were removed prior to the adjournment of proceedings on the complaint of lawyers.
US Marine commandoes numbering 1,000 will be deployed at American Embassy in Islamabad under massive expansion work which is nearing completion.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit Khan has said that 1,000 US Marines will be coming to Pakistan to be deployed at US Mission.
He said that there was no restriction on the number of personnel that a foreign mission could station at its mission but it is done through mutual understanding.
The FO Spokesman stated on Wednesday while replying to a query relating to increase in the strength of the US personnel at Islamabad’s mission, The Nation reported.
Pakistan does not have a Christian minority problem. Pakistani Christians actively contributed in the Pakistan Independence Movement. After 1947, Pakistani Christians fought and died for the homeland in battles and served the nation in all fields, And are well represented in the nation’s armed forces. Majority Pakistani Muslims embrace their Pakistani compatriots from the Christian faith.
The recent incidents in Gojra are a grim reminder of an opportunist political system in which strange bedfellows can be espoused for political expediency and where rule of law can be applied selectively. Worse, it exposes false claims of the provincial and federal governments over constant surveillance of banned militant outfits in Punjab.

In the ongoing war against terrorists, the army is carrying out major operations to cleanse the country from the menace of terrorism. The major scale operation which is ongoing is called “Operation Rah e Raast”. Before that we witnessed “Operation Rah e Haq” (2007-2008) which got lesser media coverage due to the misinterpretation on part of the countrymen that the operation was not justified and was infact against so called brothers. Time told us how false our concepts were.
In this war, hundreds of sons of soil have laid their lives for Pakistan. It is only because of these sacrifices that our country can still stand tall, and we are able to live freely in this land of the pure. We all, as a nation, owe these martyrs too much to be ever repaid.
“I am going to embrace Shahadat”. These were the last words of Captain Najam Riaz Raja to his parents when he left for Swat. And he did prove to be a man of his words. He embraced shahadat along with three other commandos last Tuesday. He was captured by the terrorists under mysterious circumstances on 21 April while he along with his three other companions were out of their camp in Swat Valley.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Pakistan’s Balochistan province is under attack. Pakistanis should be in no doubt now and must begin to question their government. And question it hard.
This is the latest:
A stunning telephone conversation between a Pakistani official and Indian-backed terrorists in Balochistan;
Permission for US Marines to land on Pakistan’s southwestern coastal area in a mock invasion;
And a consortium of three western companies want to circumvent Gwadar and get government’s approval for a mini-seaport instead.
These are three startling developments that point not just to criminal negligence on the part of the elected federal Pakistani government but to collusion at some high level within the Pakistani government. We know that a few who claim to represent Pakistani Balochis are completely sold out to the agenda of two or three countries in the region. What is new is connivance in Islamabad. If something is going to happen to Pakistan’s Balochistan, it will not be possible without inside help. Read the rest of this entry ?
With Ali Azmat on Aag TV Zaid Hamid and Ali Azmat (formerly of Junoon) take live calls and discuss ideology, vision and mission of Allama Iqbal and its relevance with the current times, and answer questions from the youth of Pakistan in his latest episode of “Iqbal Ka Pakistan” series.
“Pakistan is in sight and Balochistan will be a part of it,” said Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s on May 20, 1947
“Pakistan’s strength lies in unity, whatever the cost of our bread and butter, we share it.” That’s how the Baloch express their love to people of the twin cities.
Baloch people are strong patriots of Pakistan. They remember the June 29, 1947 brief of the Assistant Governor-General on referendum, which inter alia said, “Shahi Jirga met with elected members of Quetta Municipality … The present members voted unanimously for Pakistan.” Thus, the Baloch stress, the British Balochistan became a part of Pakistan, while in March 1948 the Khan of Kalat, Ahmad Yar Khan and his confederate chiefs acceded to the new state of Pakistan. And the federation shall stay forever despite foreign intrigues.
Quaid-e-Azam is not with us today but his words live on. Balochistan is a part of Pakistan and will InshAllah remain a part of Pakistan. We will not let the enemy make use of the imbecilities of the previous political democratic Governments in context of people’s welfare programmes and hurdles in their execution apart. The enemies i.e. India and Zionist Israelis etc are again igniting the so-called nationalist groups of Balochistan for consummation of their despicable designs. Read the rest of this entry ?
The Politicians – Zardari, Gilani, Rehman, Nawaz – Refuse To Condemn The Terrorism Of Akbar Bugti’s Grandson & His US/Indian Backed Terrorists In Afghanistan
Terrorists claiming to represent Pakistani Balochis are planning to declare ‘independence’ on 11 August 2009, according to BRASSTACKS. It will not change much on the ground but these terrorists and their supporters in Kabul, New Delhi and within CIA will score a major point against Islamabad. The pro-US government in Islamabad and even the Pakistani opposition are courting Washington and are silent against this emerging threat to the Pakistani state. No Pakistani politician is ready to call Akbar Bugti or Kabul-based Brahamdagh or London-based Harbyar Mari by their real designation as terrorists. Both President Zardari and Mr. Nawaz Sharif are silent accomplices in what they believe is a good opportunity to weaken the grip of the Pakistani military. Plans are also underway to create a ‘Pakistani Kurdistan’. Interior Minister Rehman Malik is yet to accuse Britain of giving safe haven to terrorists.
Pakistan’s judiciary is engaging in improper judicial conduct such as pure conflicts of interests, media statements stating judicial outcomes and opinions, meetings with foreign dignitaries and politicians, and purporting undeniable biases and lack of impartiality. Where are the lawyers who should note the improper judicial conduct? How exactly have these judges remained as judges given that they are practicing law from their chambers, rather than acting as neutral arbiters?
The American NGO that works for US government has almost half of its international vacancies in Pakistan.
Its director in Peshawar has been found contacting anti-Pakistan elements in the Pak-Afghan border area.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Three weeks ago a group of concerned Pakistani citizens in Peshawar wrote to the federal interior ministry to complain about the suspicious activities of a group of shadowy Americans in a rented house in their neighborhood, the upscale University Town area of Peshawar.
A NGO calling itself Creative Associates International, Inc. leased the house. CAII, as it is known by its acronym, is a Washington DC-based private firm. According to its Web site, the company describes itself as “a privately-owned non-governmental organization that addresses urgent challenges facing societies today … Creative views change as an opportunity to improve, transform and renew …”
The description makes no sense. It is more or less a perfect cover for the American NGO’s real work: espionage.
The incorporated NGO is more of a humanitarian front that alternates sometimes for undercover US intelligence operations in critical regions, including Angola, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Gaza, and Pakistan. Of the 36 new job openings, the company’s Web site shows that half of them are in Pakistan today. Pakistan is also at the heart of the now combined desperate effort by the White House-military-CIA to avert a looming American defeat in Afghanistan by shifting the war to its next-door neighbor.
In Peshawar, CAII, opened an office to work on projects in the nearby tribal agencies of Pakistan. All of these projects, interestingly, are linked to the US government. CAII’s other projects outside Pakistan are also linked to the US government. In short, this NGO is not an NGO. It is closely linked to the US government.
In the first part of this video, Nadeem Farooq Paracha is shown up for being utterly ignorant and naive. Barely able to string sentences together and mumbling his words, he tries to offer a counter-analysis to Zaid Hamid while exposing the dangerously limited understanding he has of history and geo-politics. We would honestly advise NFP to stick to his music reviews which no-one reads anyway.
The second part of this video is Zaid Hamid deciphering the truth from fiction and answering his critics who try to label him as a conspiracy theorist and a hate-monger. And not surprisingly, he does a fantastic job.
Hush-hush deals in the air!!!
KARACHI: While unhindered officially-sponsored corruption has dealt a blow to great national institutions such as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Steel, some other national institutions and common interest of the people of Pakistan are threatened by secret deals that are currently being negotiated beyond the realm of transparency, fair play and equal opportunity, according to an investigation done by this correspondent.
With negotiations at advanced stages, there are deals in the pipeline which, if executed, would push more national institutions to bankruptcy and would further accelerate continuing hemorrhage in the national exchequer, according to official and business sources.
Once again some individuals, with powerful political backers, who were favored with lucrative positions in government institutions last year, are in the race for gold. One venue where such deals are being framed is the Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) where discussions for incredible real estate purchases and acquisitions are at an advanced stage by its Chairman Asadullah Shaikh, who returned to Pakistan last year ending his 10-year long self-exile in England. While in London the Ehtesab Bureau of the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and NAB of Gen Pervez Musharraf pursued corruption cases against Mr Shaikh and he was declared a proclaimed offender.
Mr Shaikh was appointed Chairman EOBI in July last year. EOBI is a government organisation that collects mandatory contributions from all theprivate institutions to provide old age pensions, grants and other benefits to workers retired from the private sector. The EOBI is the custodian of a management fund of about Rs160 billion that actually belongs to the poor old age workers.
Sources with direct knowledge of discussions at the EOBI headquarters in Karachi said that the top management was currently focusing at playing the fund for two key projects in Islamabad.
