MUMBAI: “Am I a criminal or a terrorist?” asked an upset Emraan Hashmi on Friday. The Bollywood actor said he had been denied a house he wanted to buy in the upmarket Pali Hill area of Mumbai because he was Muslim. Read ‘Muslims unwelcome? Yes, says Emraan Hashmi‘
This, ofcourse is not the first time the ‘myth’ of India’s so called ‘Secularism’ has been shred to pieces. Noted Indian actress, Member of Parliament and renowned social activist Shabana Azmi is among the thousands of Muslims in India who have been a victim of India’s religious intolerance.
Quoting from IndianMuslims.com, instances like the one narrated below are a daily occurrence in ‘Secular’ India:
“As soon as I entered the train, I saw some commuters beating up a Pathani-clad man. Even before I could realise what was happening, two of the commuters saw me and started hitting me as well. They just kept saying ‘get out of this country, go back to Pakistan, you do not belong here, you are the ones responsible for the blasts in the city’,” says a shocked Ghojaria.
The watch repair mechanic was all the more stunned when he was asked to take the name of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. “When they started hitting me, I screamed ‘Allah’. That’s when they told me to call out to Ram and Krishna instead. They said they wouldn’t let go of me if I did not chant the names,” alleges Ghojaria, adding that the mob even pulled his beard. The abuse stopped only when the train reached Churchgate terminal. “Nobody came forward to help me. I felt utterly helpless throughout. When the train came to a halt at Churchgate, all the commuters, including the attackers, simply walked away,” adds Ghojaria. [Read Full Article]

Discussion on Pakistan’s war against militancy. Is Pakistan Army fighting Pakistan’s war or America’s? What can youth of Pakistan do to help protect this nation?
Coming back to the Indian nuclear powered submarine – it should be pointed out that we do not yet know how it will perform once its reactor goes critical. Will it actually have the speed and capability – given that it has been built with Soviet/Russian technology and the fate of many Soviet/Russian subs lies at the bottom of the seas – taking a heavy toll of human life and reflecting the limitations of Soviet weapon systems?
While Pakistan’s decision makers squabble over whether to go ahead and implement the 2008 decision of buying German submarines or alter course and seek more French subs instead, India has put its prototype nuclear powered submarine, INS Arihant, into the waters. Incidentally, those in Pakistan who have been ranting for years over the use of Islamic warrior names for our missiles seem absurdly mute in commenting on India’s aggressive usage of Hindu mythology warrior names not only for its missiles but now also for its nuclear-powered submarine. Of course, the reality is that the nuclear reactor of this submarine will not go critical till 2012, so at the moment Arihant is more of a symbolic reflection of where India is headed in terms of its nuclear arsenal. Nevertheless, the development has signalled the nuclearisation of the Indian Ocean by a littoral state – since nuclear weapons have been present in this Ocean through the military presence of the external nuclear powers, especially the US.
A college chemistry professor is murdered in cold blood at his house’s doorstep in Quetta, the latest in a long list of educationists cowardly assassinated by terrorists claiming to stand for the great Pakistani Baloch. And yet no one in the PPP-led federal and provincial governments is willing to condemn the terrorists. Last month they planted a bomb on a train leaving Karachi and detonated it just half an hour away from Quetta, killing an innocent Pakistani Baloch. No condemnation then too.
The sheepish and apologetic attitude of the government is inexplicable. Just a few days ago this government gave the Indians and the Americans damning proof on how Indian spy outfits were using the Afghan provinces of Helmand and Kandahar to target Balochistan. The central role of a grandson of the late Akbar Bugti has been mentioned by the Pakistan government as playing a leading role in this terrorist enterprise. As much as eight foreign spy agencies are cramming this Pakistani territory. And yet the Pakistani state is reluctant to call a spade a spade.

I have received this urgent alert from Mr. Zaid Hamid, the renowned Pakistani security analyst, regarding the Franco-German diplomatic tussle over selling submarines to Pakistan. The government of Mr. Asif Zardari wants to buy the French subs, mainly becuase the French pay heavy commission/bribes. The German subs are more effective. The Pakistani military appears to have chosen the German subs. But the dollar-hungry government of President Zardari wants to oblige his old friend Nicholas Sarkozy. Obviously the kickbacks will be received by a group of Pakistani and French officials.
Here’s Mr. Hamid’s alert:
“The French and the Indians are using extreme pressure, bribes and diplomacy with the Pakistani government and the Pakistan Naval Headquarters to block and cancel the German submarine deal. The French want to sell their subs and the Indians are scared of the German platform and technology. Someone powerful in the government is selling the nation’s honor as we write. Someone please act immediately.”
The British government today stepped up pressure for talks with more moderate elements of the Taliban as Afghanistan announced its first provincial ceasefire agreement with the militants.
The foreign secretary, David Miliband, said the insurgency was “divided”, with many of those fighting against international forces doing so for “pragmatic” rather than ideological reasons.
His nails had been pulled off, his body bore torture marks and his eyes had sunk, and when he died after gruesome torture, the body of Khalid Mahmood was handed over to his relatives in Pakistan by the Indian authorities.
Khalid Mahmood went to India in 2005 to Mohali to watch cricket match, and he was arrested by RAW on charges of spying. Whereas Pakistani minister Ansar Burni handed over the convicted Indian spy Kashmir Singh in greath health and shape in one piece to Indian authorities with all the fanfare in the world.
The difference in the mindset and nature of the two nations couldn’t be more apparent. While we are releasing their spies, they are sending us the body parcels of our innocent people who just went to the land of Hindutva to watch a cricket match.

KABUL, Afghanistan—As the United States military occupation of Afghanistan falters, regional powers move in for the kill. Afghanistan has many neighbors. India is not one of them. It does not share any borders with Afghanistan. But after CIA, India’s two intelligence services – the Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) – are among the most active in the occupied country.
The Indians have excellent contacts within Karzai’s security setup. Most of them are former communist leaders who escaped to India in the 1970s and ‘80s and returned to power along with the Northern Alliance in 2001, backed by both US and India.
The Indians have also sold the Americans, or at least some key people within the American intelligence and strategic communities, on the dubious Indian ‘expertise’ on Afghanistan. This is how India was assigned an expanded role inside Afghanistan. The role takes the form of development work on the surface. But in reality, the Indians are neck deep in Afghanistan, and now it turns out they are neck deep inside western Pakistan as well.
The Indians have a separate, extensive intelligence and espionage setup focused on Pakistan’s tribal Pashtun belt. This is where the Indians and Karzai’s people are running a joint venture of pumping saboteurs into Pakistan disguised as the so-called ‘Pakistani Taliban’, who are also known as the Fake Taliban to differentiate them from the Afghan Taliban who are fighting the foreign armies in Afghanistan and are not fighting Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Three things have never happened before. Afghanistan has conceded over the weekend that anti-Pakistan terrorists and separatists have safe havens on its soil. India accepted last week it was feeding terror in Balochistan. And CIA drones have begun targeting the area of Baitullah Mehsud. The new CIA move is a result of Pakistani officials accusing some lobbies in Washington of protecting Mehsud for the past four years.
What we are seeing now is not everyone coming clean. What we are seeing is the result of nearly one year of quiet pressure from Pakistan on its allies in Washington. It started in a secret meeting in Rawalpindi in July 2008 where Adm. Mike Mullen and CIA number two Stephen Kappes where told that some CIA activities inside Pakistan contradicted stated US government policy. There is credible information that the Pakistani military handled this matter with the Americans through military channels after reluctance shown by President Zardari in confronting Washington, Kabul and New Delhi. In this sense, Prime Minister Gilani’s bold talk with his Indian counterpart on Balochistan last week was a break from his party line.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—More than a month after the visit of US Under Secretary of State William Burns to New Delhi, I described in my column this week in Pakistan’s The News International [‘Forget AfPak, Resolve AfKash To Win In Afghanistan’] how no Indian official publicly contradicted Mr. Burns when he asked New Delhi to trim down or close some of its consulates in Afghanistan after they have been found involved in terrorism inside Pakistan.
I had no idea I was breaking news to a large segment of the Indian public opinion. It turns out very few people in India know this.
What Mr. Burns said is important because it paved the way four weeks later for Pakistan’s Prime Minister Gilani to have a frank talk with his Indian counterpart in Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, where Mr. Gilani leveled with Mr. Manmohan Singh about India’s role in spreading terror in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The Indians agreed to quietly look into the matter and consented to let Pakistan mention that the two sides discussed ‘threats in Balochistan’, which was a face saver for the Indians. The alternative would have been embarrassing. Islamabad planned to go public with the evidence on Indian terror links.

Police have arrested an Indian national near the District Coordination Office in Bannu, while a bid to blow up the Maryan Police Station has been averted as 30 kg explosive device has been defused, DawnNews reported.
Police sources say the suspect has been picked up under section 14 of the Foreign Act for traveling without valid documents. Some sources, however, say that the man was arrested a few days back by the intelligence agencies and has now been handed over to the Cantt. Police Station after investigation.
The man has identified himself as Binoraf Saleem Borhan Kirjee, claiming that he is a resident of Kanyanya Madhya Pradesh in India. Sources added that the suspect has been shifted to an unknown location, but the local police are reluctant to confirm the arrest.
Talha Mujaddidi analyzes the “Quagmire of Imperial Slavery” for Axis of Logic from inside Pakistan:
In January, 2005, Wajid Shamsul Hasan, former Pakistan High Commissioner to the U.K. wrote the following alert and warning:
“When it was over, I realised that everything had happened ‘according to the plan’. This brings out of me the apprehension: are our military rulers working on an a similar agenda or something that has been laid out for them in the various assessment reports over the years by the National Intelligence Council (NIC) in joint collaboration with CIA. It was poor Miraj Khalid who as interim prime minister in early 1997 had dared to confide to the Pakistanis that CIA had forecast Pakistan’s denouement by the year 2015. … the NIC report cast a dark shadow on Pakistan’s future five years ago.

Watch this stunning interview of a would-be suicide bomber arrested at Dera Bugti. He talks about how the Afghan Army escorted him to Brahmdagh’s safehouses in Kabul where he lives with full police and Afghan state protection.
The would be suicide bomber also met with another 100-150 Balochis who are treated as guests by Hamid Karzai, and are being brainwashed and motivated by Brahamdagh to carry out suicide attacks within Pakistan. He also witnessed first hand the Karzai government as well as India’s financial and operational support to Brahamdagh Bugti.
In the Sri Lankan cricket team case, Indian operatives crossed the border from Indian to join other Indian-origin or Indian-trained terrorists who traveled all the way from Afghanistan to Lahore
Indian terrorism training bases, intelligence outposts and personnel in Afghanistan identified
In some cases, Indian intelligence was indirectly supporting attacks against US soldiers in Afghanistan in order to worsen Pak-US military relations
India’s friends, advocates and lobbyists in Washington stunned
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was stunned when Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Reza Gilani handed him a dossier containing photographs of Brahamdagh Bugti and other terrorists meeting Indian agents not only in Afghanistan but also during their visits to India and the names of the Indian officials who met them. This was part of more evidence about India’s involvement in recruiting, training, financing and arming terrorists in Afghanistan and sending them to Pakistan. India’s links to the attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team in Lahore and other high profile terrorism cases have been established, shocking even Indian’s many advocates in Washington. Mr. Gilani gave this surprise to the Indians behind closed doors. Now India fears that Pakistan would use this meeting to expose Indian connections with two anti-Pakistan terrorist leaders and their foreign-funded terror armies: Brahamdagh Bugti and his BLA [Balochistan Liberation Army] and Baitullah Mehsud’s Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, both being supported from bases in US-controlled Afghanistan.
And on Sunday, LA Times reported, US Defense Secretary Robert Gates saying, “US-led forces must gain ground against militants in Afghanistan by next summer to avoid a public perception the war is un-winnable.”
While noting that the Taliban would not be defeated within a year, Mr Gates told the newspaper it was critical that the US military and its allies showed they were making progress. Defense Secretary also said that “Troops are tried and American people are pretty tired”.
Puppets like Hamid Karzai and his drug dealing warlords are proving of zero worth in US interests and as a matter of fact, US forces are loosing ground fast with European allies, even staunch ones like UK, are desperate to withdraw troops support to USA in the war USA is just about to loose – insha Allah.
